Understanding TrustScore
TrustScore combines technical analysis, fundamental data, market sentiment, and trading volume into a single 0-100 score. Higher scores suggest stronger buy signals, while lower scores suggest sell signals.
Think of it as a report card for a stock - it tells you at a glance how well the stock is performing across multiple dimensions.
The Five Pillars
TrustScore analyzes stocks through five key areas:
- Quality: Financial strength via Piotroski F-Score, Altman Z-Score, and economic moat
- Valuation: P/E, P/B, PEG ratio, and forward estimates relative to sector
- Growth: Revenue growth, EPS growth, and Rule of 40
- Profitability: Margins, ROIC, ROE, and operating leverage
- Momentum: Price vs moving averages, RSI, and trend strength
Each pillar is scored independently, then combined for the overall TrustScore.
Understanding the Dashboard
The dashboard is your command center. At the top you see portfolio value and daily change. Below that, your watchlist shows TrustScore changes for stocks you track.
The decision summary at the bottom highlights what needs your attention today โ score changes, triggered alerts, and market events affecting your holdings.
About Paper Trading
Paper trading lets you simulate your market thesis with virtual capital. All prices and market data are real - this is the "Practice" phase of your decision loop.
After practicing, use the Reflect phase to compare your expectation with actual outcomes. TickerTrust is an analysis and simulation platform - no live execution is enabled.
Using the Screener
The screener helps you discover stocks that meet specific criteria. Set filters like price range, trading volume, or market capitalization to narrow down the thousands of available stocks.
Example: To find mid-cap growth stocks, try setting Min Price: $50, Max Price: $200, and Min Market Cap: $2B.
Chart Types Guide
TickerTrust offers 6 chart types, each best for different analysis:
- Candlestick: Classic OHLC chart showing open, high, low, close. Best for pattern recognition.
- Heikin-Ashi: Smoothed candles that filter noise. Best for identifying trend direction.
- Renko: Brick-based chart that ignores time. Best for seeing clear trends without noise.
- Point & Figure: X and O columns showing supply/demand. Best for price targets and breakouts.
- Volume Profile: Shows volume at each price level. Best for finding support/resistance zones.
- Seasonality: Historical return patterns by month/week. Best for timing entries and exits.
Risk Analytics
Understanding risk metrics helps protect your portfolio:
- VaR (Value at Risk): Maximum expected daily loss at a confidence level (95% or 99%).
- Sharpe Ratio: Return per unit of risk. Above 1 is good, above 2 is excellent.
- Sortino Ratio: Like Sharpe but only penalizes downside volatility.
- Max Drawdown: Largest peak-to-valley drop. Shows your worst historical loss.
- Beta: Sensitivity to market moves. 1.0 = moves with market, >1 = more volatile.
