Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your TickerTrust account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how — including options for users who can no longer sign in.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)
If you can sign in, this is the fastest way:
- Open TickerTrust on the web at tickertrust.com or in the mobile app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom.
- (Optional) Click Download Data first to export a JSON copy of your data.
- Click Delete Account, type
DELETE MY ACCOUNTto confirm, and submit.
Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately. You will be signed out and returned to the home page.
Option 2: Email request (if you cannot sign in)
If you have lost access to your account, send an email to privacy@tickertrust.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Please include:
- The email address associated with your TickerTrust account
- Confirmation that you wish to permanently delete your account and data
- (Optional) A reason for leaving — this helps us improve the platform
We will verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, and reply to confirm when it is done.
Don't want to close your whole account? Partial deletion is available
If you want to remove specific data without closing your account, you can request partial deletion of any of the following categories. Your account, profile, billing history, and authentication remain in place — only the categories you select are erased:
- Watchlists, alerts & screener presets — clears your saved tickers, price alerts, and screening configurations.
- Paper trade history — removes paper trades and trade journal entries.
- AI chat history — deletes all AI conversations and analysis preferences.
- Community content — removes ideas, posts, comments, and reports you have submitted.
- API keys & broker connections — revokes API keys and disconnects linked brokerages.
- Advertising & analytics data — clears advertising identifiers, ad-personalization signals, and product analytics tied to your account.
To request partial deletion, email privacy@tickertrust.com from your registered email address with the subject "Partial Deletion Request" and the categories you want erased. We will confirm the scope, complete the deletion within 30 days, and reply once it is done.
Partial deletions are also permanent and irreversible. We recommend exporting your data first via Settings → Profile → Download Data.
What data is deleted (full account deletion)
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Profile information (name, email, password, avatar, bio)
- Account preferences and settings
- Watchlists, price alerts, and screener presets
- Paper trade history and trade journal entries
- AI chat history and analysis preferences
- API keys and broker connection metadata
- Authentication credentials (Supabase Auth record)
Your active subscription, if any, will be cancelled automatically as part of the deletion.
What data may be retained
In a small number of cases, we are required by law or for security reasons to retain limited data after account deletion:
- Backup copies: Encrypted backup snapshots are purged within 90 days.
- Anonymized usage data: Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics may be retained.
- Billing records: Invoices and payment records are retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).
- Audit logs: Anonymized records of the deletion event are kept for compliance purposes.
Timeline
- Immediate: In-app deletion removes your account and primary data records right away.
- Within 30 days: All personal data removed from our active systems.
- Within 90 days: Backup copies fully purged.
This cannot be undone
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your account is deleted, we cannot restore it, and any saved watchlists, paper trade history, or chat history will be lost. We strongly recommend exporting your data first using the Download Data option in Settings, or by emailing us before submitting an email deletion request.
